Lime and coal, in powder or grain sized, to be injected to a furnace or to a ladle are stored are stored in bins with a typical capacity between 20 and 100m³ (max 150m³), supported by an adequate steel work.Bins can be filled by pneumatic systems, by belt conveyors or by bags. Stored material is extracted directly or by means of a screw conveyor, loaded into weighed pressure vessel and injected.According to the process requirements and plant control system, the needed amount of powder to be injected can be defined and batched by the pressure vessel weighing system. Handled material typical grain size is between 0,001 and 10mm.
